Why
Obsidian & Sage?

Obsidian symbolizes depth, transformation, and protection.

Sage represents clarity, cleansing, and ancestral wisdom.

Together, they remind us that healing begins when we welcome every part of ourselves — with honesty, gentleness, and care.

Obsidian & Sage is a somatic wellness practice focused on nervous system support, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed healing.

The support offered at Obsidian & Sage is grounded in the belief that the body carries deep wisdom—and that with care, consistency, and consent, it can gently return to a place of safety, regulation, and strength.

This is a non-clinical, non-pathologizing space—no fixing, no diagnosing, just a return to wholeness through the body.

Meet the

person

Hi & Welcome.

I am so glad that you are here.

My name is Ashley, and I’m a psychiatric nurse with certifications in somatic therapy, and trauma-informed care. I am also currently in training to become a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Obsidian & Sage was born from my own search for care that truly met me where I was. I often left mental health appointments feeling helpless and hopeless—like I was broken. But through an evidence-informed healing journey, I came to see (& believe) that I’m not broken at all. Instead, I am wholly myself: a beautiful soul having a human experience.

That discovery also made it clear to me that my purpose in this life, is to help others live more fully—and more gently—while on this Earth journey.

I truly believe that we are all innately good. While trauma— big ‘T’ or little ‘t’—undeniably shapes us, it doesn’t have to define who we are or how we show up in this world.

If you’re seeking trauma-informed, integrative support in a space that honors your wholeness and meets you where you are, I invite you to explore the services offered at Obsidian & Sage.

More about Obidian & Sage

At Obsidian & Sage, I support individuals in reconnecting with their nervous system, developing emotional regulation tools, and gently working through the embodied effects of stress and trauma. My approach integrates somatic practices, trauma-informed education, and whole-person support in a grounded, safe, and non-clinical setting.

As a psychiatric nurse with certifications in somatic therapy and trauma-informed care, I bring both clinical insight and embodied presence into each session. My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens not just through insight, but through connection to the body and the self.

Though I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions, I work with individuals who are living with patterns of anxiety, low mood, chronic stress, or dysregulation—and are seeking somatic tools, education, and compassionate support.

My journey has been shaped by lived experience and clinical practice—starting in pediatric complex care, deepening through psychiatric nursing, and now unfolding into integrative mental health care that is grounded in nervous system awareness, parts work, and compassion, as I work toward becoming a PMHNP.

While I bring a strong clinical background to this work, Obsidian & Sage is a coaching and wellness practice, not a clinical mental health service at this time.
